Walleye action remains hit and miss, although a spinner and crawler is turning some fish when it’s cloudy on top of the bars or on weedbeds in 12 to 14 feet. During midday hours or under calm conditions, work off the bars with crawlers in 25 to 30 feet. Anglers also are trolling crankbaits during low-light periods on the bars in less than 12 feet with some success. Bigger perch are coming off the edges of the bars in 12 to 14 feet, while spoons and plugs are producing northern pike in the 9- to 12-foot weeds on the west side and north end.
