Perch action picked up over the past week throughout the west side in 12 to 17 feet – work the shoreline breaks and points. The snow has settled, but track vehicles remain the best means of travel due to pockets of slop. The old plowed roads are another area to avoid, which have caused some people to get hung up and stuck. Most resorts have closed their accesses for the season, but the shorelines were in good enough shape early this week that public access points will likely remain an option.
