A cold front late last week and calm conditions after it slowed the walleye bite early this week. The fish seem to be more scattered, spread out from shallower shoreline breaks to deep, main-lake structure. If the wind blows, a jig and shiner minnow will continue to produce walleyes on the points and breaks in 6 to 10 feet. On the calm, bright days, you’ll find a few more active fish in 15 feet or more, with some being caught as deep as 25 to 30 feet.
