Fishing pressure has dropped off, but a jig and minnow will produce walleyes on the wind-driven points and shoreline breaks in 9 to 12 feet – if the wind blows, don’t be afraid to look even shallower. Perch remain active, but require sorting, and northern pike are hitting minnows and artificial baits on the weeds and points. Duck numbers have declined, with mainly local birds around at this point.
