A jig and minnow is now the best option for fall walleye fishing on the points and shoreline breaks in 14 to 17 feet or the main lake bars and flats in 24 to 30 feet. The points and shoreline breaks also are kicking out perch in 10 to 15 feet and northern pike are hitting spoons, crankbaits, or minnows in 12 to 16 feet.
