Water temperatures were still in the mid 60-degree range early this week, but if it’s windy or cloudy, walleyes are being caught with a jig and minnow on the points and shoreline breaks in 8 to 10 feet. On those calm, bright days, minnows are turning walleyes on the main-lake bars in 16 to 18 feet. Perch are being caught in less than 8 feet. You still have to sort through numbers of small fish, but there seem to better numbers of bigger perch in the mix this week.
