September 7th Fishing Report
Despite last weekend’s heat, walleye fishing held up pretty well.

Cover water with spinners and minnows, crankbaits, and crawlers from 8 to 22 feet. Main-lake structure, shoreline breaks, and structure closer to shore are all holding walleyes. It just depends on the day or time of day where bigger pods of active walleyes are located. Pike also remain active, hitting spoons and crankbaits in 10 to 15 feet. You’ll find some perch mixed with the walleyes.
