The rain, wind, heat and sun are (finally) doing their part on Lake Winnie in northern Minnesota! The shorelines have pulled away quite a distance, there were small pockets of open water, and main-lake ice was black and moving with the wind early this week. As the lake looked Tuesday morning, we’re sitting really good for fishable walleye water on opening day. Visit lakewinnie.net/lodging for lodging options and reservations.
